Connected Threads began as an artistic demonstration of connectivity by Tiffany Miller in 2009. Years later, many things have changed, but the core values that started this project remain the same. Everything is connected.
Back then she was a single girl with a paint brush and some t-shirts, traveling the country, couch surfing and car camping and hosting art shows to connect with the world. Her itinerary took her where the wind pushed her… she was fierce and free.
Years later – Tiffany juggles art and design with her household of two brilliant/beautiful daughters and one loving/supportive husband. She sneaks in painting sessions between ABC’s and play dates. Studio time revolves around spare moments and naptime. The new schedule is much more calculated and uniform, yet the wind still pushes her… still fiercely, but now with a heart nearing capacity.
Miller feels it is more important, now more than ever to demonstrate the theory of connectivity. The best message she can imagine to send her daughters is that they affect the world, that they are connected to part of a bigger picture. No matter how great or how small your deed may be, it is part of something else, part of a bigger picture.
